I think something just bugged out with your world generation. I opened up the seed and everything was just fine. The villagers existed, and so did the animals.
Well, imagine how annoyed you would be if the dragon egg fell in lava in survival mode. I feel like it’s just an oversight that they should fix, because if you lose the dragon egg you can’t get it back without commands
