Severe FPS drop and menu lag on PS5 Bedrock every 10–15 minutes (even AFK)
Description:
On PlayStation 5, Minecraft Bedrock consistently drops to approximately 10 FPS every 10–15 minutes. This happens in brand new worlds, on servers, and even while AFK. Menus, especially the Settings menu, start loading very slowly or freezing entirely. The issue persists after reinstalling the game, restarting the PS5, and lowering all graphics settings and render distance. Joining other players’ worlds does not always reproduce the issue.
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft Bedrock on PlayStation 5
Create a new world or join a server
Stay in-game for 10–15 minutes, even while AFK
FPS drops heavily and menus become laggy or freeze
Expected Result:
Stable 60 FPS and responsive menus.
Actual Result:
FPS drops to around 10 and menus freeze or load very slowly.
