To recreate:
Run “/fill ~-15 ~-1 ~-15 ~15 ~-1 ~15 minecraft:slime_block” to make a slime block platform below your feet
Run “/summon slime” to summon a slime, or wait for a slime to spawn naturally (commonly in superflat worlds)
Expected result: The slime should be able to jump around as normal, bouncing on the slime blocks the same way other mobs, players, and items do when they fall on it.
Actual result: Slimes get stuck in place if they spawn/get summoned on the slime blocks. However, they can still move, but slowly.
The slime will attempt to keep jumping while still being stuck to the slime blocks, causing the jump sound to play at a fast pace, the slime particles appear at a fast pace when slimes land, and the animation of the slimes repeats forever.
The only tested solutions to stop this is to either kill the affected slime, break the block(s) underneath them so they can properly land, or teleporting them to a different location.
There’s a slight chance this will not happen when the command executes, or when the slime spawns/gets summoned right next to another mob or block, getting pushed away due to mob collisions.
