Also do crops grow without sunlight in Minecraft Bedrock?

the farmland where i planted my wheat is already hydrated, i placed a water source every 4 block until the end of the farm but i see patches of wheat that has not changed even though it is hydrated and has light but i would also like to know what light level is required at the minimum for crops to change state, thank you.

Ok, I do have smooth lighting enabled, It only happened on my multiplayer world, it does not happen every time but about 1 in 10 chance it appears and it happened both with a light source near the primary source and without. I will see if can reproduce this and add a video or screenshot to attachments, thank you.
