This is not a minecraft launcher bug it is a minecraft bug
I am using Unofficial linux launcher on chrome os, and this happens to me.
Try clicking on the minecraft icon in the tskbar again until there is gray on it. That works for me

How old is your device? Are you running other apps or games at the same time. It could be your ram decreasing.
