That happened to me in my PC when I had Windows 10. Download the old launcher and everything will work fine!

It may be caused because of shields cannot be enchanted on enchantment table. I guess

This is not a bug, you have 'reducedDebugInfo' enabled.
Type /gamerule reducedDebugInfo false and you will see the coords.
