Can confirm on Windows 10 PC.
Does it happen with other sorts of maps and other items, e.g a shovel not showing the animation when you right click?
They don't always drop armour, so I'm pretty sure this is just a thing. Could you send a video?

This isn't a bug, it shouldn't be on here. Also, it wouldn't be possible to play Minecraft properly with a joystick as key features of the normal controls would be missing.
That's just a thing, are you sure you haven't actually got anything like a texture pack from the Marketplace? If it's not applied, it will still update. Don't know about the taking a long time to go up tho.
