It works correctly for item entities, which can be picked up. However, this behavior does not extend to shot arrows and tridents, as mentioned in the report, dear.

Attempting to inspect the book won't initiate a user interface for reading its contents. Upon executing the command, you'll notice the absence of components for saving the text.
Hoped for: Your magnificent story or any creative work within the book ought not to fade away.
Notes: Upgrading from version 1.20.4 does not result in the deletion of text from the book.
The modification done by @unknown needs to be reversed since it doesn't apply to ender pearls, as @unknown has already rectified. You can verify this by testing it yourself; you'll see that it doesn't affect ender pearls, dear.
