When i deactivate my nether portal in the overworld, lots of magma cubes to spawn.

Happened to me, and had no choice but to teleport myself back to spawn as i dont really feel like walking 1678 blocks.
I think that it is intended because they aren't full blocks. (like chests)

No, i had a set of iron tools and loads of other things, it was as if i had died and respawned whilst the game was turned off.

This happens with spruce stairs- i dont know about other types.
The world seed is -134836722 and coordinates are 829, 89, -1120.
I don't have the world saved anymore, so cant get coordinates. sorry
but if i use a spawn egg right next to me it just dissapears.
You need to use a smithing table
