This is a request, not a bug.
Apparently, this affects Trapped Chests as well.
Plus, both of the chests are "normal" chests.

So, I placed down a Magma Block and I don't see the issue.
This is NOT a Magma Block, even if it is, I don't see the issue.
Try pressing F1 on the keyboard to toggle the HUD back.
