Here’s what I’ve noticed: I've encountered this while playing solo and offline so I don't think it's a network/internet issue. I imagine this occurs online and in multiplayer too.
I’ve stopped leashing my Happy Ghast near my base since I noticed this issue and I'm no longer experiencing drops on TPS. I recommend avoiding leashing to a fencepost as a workaround until this bug is resolved!
