I was just coming back to cancel it, but you beat me. I couldn't find anything when I did a search, but after I submitted, I found it already reported, in the list of all issues.
This appears to only happen on some blocks. In 13w09b, I have observed it on wood and stone, but NOT on crafting tables or furnaces.
