I had not noticed the lag spike on the 21W42a snapshot, but Pre 1 freezes and crashes when auto saving. Screen locks up and JVM utilization jumps to 98-100% and then the processes suspends. Terrain, mob and plant updates are saved, but user inventory data is not.
