I don’t know if this is helpful, but maybe your resource packs are old and crashing your game. You would need to update your packs to 1.2

Your texture pack was probably made for version 1.1. Go to where you got the pack and find the updated version for 1.2

Yes, before you ask, I gave an update to all of the blocks in the picture. This confirms that it is not a visual glitch.
