I'm sort of having the same problem, I downloaded 1.12.2 modded Minecraft off of Forge, all of the others work just fine, (such as 1.10 & 1.15.2) but its only 1.12.2 that is giving me troubles, it keeps crashing my minecraft and I have tried several different ones, It worked once and then never again, can someone help me out with this please?
Edit: Try CrashForge instead of that other website you used for the mods, CrashForge is relatively helpful and includes A LOT more mods that you could use! Hope this helps
