I experienced this too, it is extremely annoying, and even third person mode won’t fix anything. This is a big problem and it is making the game unplayable. Please fix it, or else we can’t enjoy the game if we can’t even see a thing!
This existed in 1.12 and if it is a bug, I would expect it to be fixed now, so I think it is a feature.
I think it might be the cause of infinite fire spread or the jungle got thicker(Why I think this is when I go to a jungle in 1.12 and 1.13 feels very different).
Sorry, you need to place the water near the slab where it is in the flowing range.
Just saying, I first thought this might be a new feature, since I saw the water flowing through the slab, but when I tested it with fences... well, it doesn't work, obviously. So this is CLEARLY a bug, NOT a feature.
It looks quite cool though 🙂.

No I used an anvil to enchant it but I use my iPas to report this so it is not available for me to sent some screenshots
