I've tried saving, not saving, sleeping first (tried both beds I use) and not sleeping. The same thing happens- it spawns me at the bed in my base with nothing. Except one time where it spawned me underwater for no reason.

I can work around it- it didn't used to do it, so I'm sure it'll sort out at some point, but I thought I should bring it to your attention in case

It get's stranger- I just randomly found everything I lost last time on the top of a nearby sand dune
