Its meant to be in game .That's one of the benefits of curing villagers ,you get awesome discounts. If you cure a villager twice he will probably sell you everything for 1 emerald and lets say instead of selling 4 pumpkin for 1 emerald you will only need to sell 1 pumpkin for 1 emerald .
my villager sells mending book for 1 emerald and you can buy 3 bookshelfs for 1 emerald and sell 1 book for 1 emerald. so basically infinite emerald . thats why villagers are game changers and very OP
