I'm seeing a lot more diamonds spawn under Y:5 and a lot less in overall (looking with an x-ray pack). I think the idea that Bedrock is using the ore gen for 1.18 makes some sense here. Agreed. This is pretty game-breaking and I wish we would get some clarification on how far off the fix is. It's been a known bug going back to the pre-release from what I can tell.
