Same issue on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS. Definitely not resolved...

Can confirm this bug is still present in pre-release 9 within Mushroom Island biomes.

I just had this occur in 16w40a. Screenshot is attached. When I created a new world with the same seed, the chunk swapping did not occur - I was unable to reproduce it.

The logs for 2016-06-21 are split into 2 files. I think this may have been due to a game crash?

The tl;dr version: lots of "Item entity ######## has no item" errors and "Can't keep up!" warnings.

If Mojang takes their time fixing this, they will break a lot of stuff.

If they don't fix it, they will have a very counterintuitive and user-unfriendly device that pulls (when the real world counterpart pushes) except when it pushes.

Please fix this.

This bug appears to be caused by the piston momentarily disappearing (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b7A4m2SFSQ) and this causes redstone placed on pistons to break (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7okXYwR4EdU)

This bug causes all blaze farms that use pistons to push blaze off ledges to pull blaze back within the piston block.

A villager in a minecart was able to push me against the direction I was walking. He - on wheels - was able to overpower me. This makes no sense and breaks a lot of functionality. (16w07a)

Further, once you coerce them into a minecart, villagers are able to walk with full force and speed either direction along a rail path. This make transporting villagers by minecart a virtual impossibility. When trying to push them in a direction, they are able to push against me and move me in the exact opposite direction I am walking. It seems to me that if they are on wheels and I am not, I should be able to push them along the tracks.
