I'm having this issue as well on Xbox & Windows 10 on a Realm. I didn't realize it until my sorting system kept sending stone past my stone filter.
I am having the same issues with my realm, particularly when mining in the nether, I get lag spikes and a whole row of netherrack that I just mined will reappear sometimes blocking me in from behind.
