Do you have a shader? That can be the Problem. You have to use no Shader for Hirboxes, Chunklines and Structure Block outlines.

Nah. You take just as much damage when falling with armor as you do without. Seems pretty realistic to me.

It is because you are in creative. In creative mode it is purposefully made so you can enchant any item with any enchantment. In survival this would not be possible.
