I sure hope it doesn't. No way to test this tho, since I do not currently have a realm.
This is honestly horrible support. After half a year still nothing at all.
I thougth to get a realm for its ease of use. Even though I knew that it offers no functionality beyond an on/off button. It was a trade I was willing to make.
Now I know that I will never again get myself a realm. Any server host gives me complete access to every single files. Complete controll over all features. And it even allows me to mod the game without any issues... All for the same price or CHEAPER AND with GREAT support.

Having the same issue on iOS (latest update). However it seems that sometimes the world does in fact load, despite the error message. Will update if I see a useful pattern.

I did find the other ticket, but it seems to revolve around Nintendo Switch - which means it’s not necessarily the same bug or the same resolution as for the iPad version.
Can you or someone else kindly indicate whether this is indeed the SAME (not just similar) bug and that it will be resolved when the Switch related bug is resolved?
If it's an intended feature, then I'll go to the feedback area instead as it's stopping me from finishing my build.

I changed the outer tag to item and it has not changed.
Having the same issue. 1.12.2 starts up, screen goes black for couple of seconds and when the screen comes back the game crashes with exit code -805306369
It looks like when I change the audio output device, Minecraft's audio closes down (observed from volume mixer).

I have the exact same issue. No matter if I cure them, bring them from another village, or bring an unemployed villager from another village they always vanish. And I'm also on a server with friends.
