I can confirm this in 1.14.1-pre2.
Place a row of glass blocks and place redstone dust on top. From underneath the dust is not visible.
Dennis - that video has beds that the villagers cannot access. Try in a normal village.
You need beds (not doors anymore) and bread. Trading with them seems to make the happy too.
Placed a carpet next to the door and now villagers cannot leave. Bug confirmed in 1.14.1 pre2.
Looks like different skins due to different professions. Their heads seem to be in the same place.

My villagers walk through a door happily with a block above the door.

I end up in the void. Flying up it's an end island made of stone with zombie pigmen and ghasts

Uploaded screenshot. the flatness is only a few chunks.
Also select overworld and type void. You just get flat stone.

The new tropical fish come in all sorts of colours.
