There's 2 files, one log and the other one is the crash report.
I recently had the same bug and there's the crash report. I pressed F3+C for 8 seconds.
F3+T works, it'll be the correct texture.
Note: I do not have a texture pack on at that time.
I haven't seen a similar bug in 18w31a to 1.13.1 release. But's it's not patched or an awaiting response either so yeah....
The bug sometimes won't happen, and I just have to wait... so I don't when it'll happen again.
I have something similar, but relogging in, F3+A, doesn't work, only /kill works. MC-135256
By the way, 18w31a did not fix it, I don't want to, that world is 6 months old now, from update 1.12, do you really think I will trash it?? Besides, I tried backing up it, it did not back up (1.13) so I have to "let it be.
Also, if you're next to an item, it'll soar into the air and land somewhere else like a soccer ball; that's what I mean by "fly".
It's not visual, I tried relogging in.
ALL resource packs are disabled, just the standard Minecraft texture pack. Other worlds have the same problem too.
