No, my difficulty was set to normal.
I'm also experiencing this issue. I want to keep up with my achievements as well. :<
Well I'm playing MCPE 1.14.1 and it doesn't occur in that version.
It only happened once, this time only. But for the past time that I have been playing the game it didn't happened.
