uh, now it freezes as soon as I open minecraft.
This bug was confirmed back at the beginning of this year! How is it still not fixed?

Actually, MC-123968 is said to be invalid, and has not been updated since snapshot 18w01a, and it is clearly still an issue, since it is happening to me, so it should not be marked as invalid--
confirmed in 1.13 pre release 7
I don't get how this is invalid. There are still many people who have this problem, including me, so this bug should not be marked as invalid

this bug still is not fixed
also, it seems to happen whenever you end a command with ~
a similar thing also happens when tpying in chat, where the game softlocks
I don't know if that counts as a separate bug though
