I read that post and I think that's not the same issue. The problem is not the text colour, the problem is the text is either vanishing altogether or the formatting causes it to line up in one row past both ends of the sign. Again, the issue I'm reporting is not related to MCPE-39362.

It happens with all of my local worlds. I keep Minecraft up-to-date so I have no idea why it's crashing. The only file I can provide is that screen capture.
Open Minecraft
Press Play
Open World
Wait for World to Load
Watch Minecraft Crash
