Sometimes animals fenced in are missing. For example, last night I left the game with 3 green sheep. Today there is only 1 green sheep.
My wife had the same problem with blue sheep with her W10 PC.

@unknown Is MC-23320 the same issue as the one you're experiencing? If yes, please leave a comment on the original report, as it seems like nobody has been able to reproduce this in newer versions.
It is not the same issue because this is happening on Bedrock/Realms.
I just had tamed horses in a small pen disappear. One 3 days ago, one 2 days ago.

And another thing... I have theory why this is happening, if you care to fix it. Not that my 28 years as a programmer/analyst would be important in analyzing the problem.
Check to see if the location of mobs has been rounded up to whole blocks. If animals are on the same whole block , does the program eliminate one because it can't put more than one object on a block? To clarify, whole block coordinates such as 5, 64, 10 vs partial block coordinates such as 5.3, 64, 10.8
