Is it possible to repopen this?
Even after following all these instructions, I have not had a single witch spawn.
I'm pretty sure that is not how they intended it to work...
The sample world they gave me works ok, but only if I de-spawn EVERYTHING just to get a witch to spawn. I can afk at my witch hut/farm for hours and not have a single witch. I don't think you want it to be that low.

This is something I have noticed for a long time now... Witch huts do not continuously spawn witches. It seems like they spawn in one time, then are dormant.
Witch huts have 1-2 witches in them upon first discovery
After the first witches, the hut will not spawn anymore witches
The surrounding swamp occasionally will spawn witches
On multiple occasions, I tried making a "Witch farm" to get loot drops. This has proven to be impossible because of this issue. After clearing the hut and making the typical spawning platforms, the witch hut remains dormant!

Yes, I have done it all. I am a long-time Minecraft veteran, I know the requirements for spawning. Witch huts are legitimately broken. I have tried multiple witch huts across my world and they all are dormant. I don't know why they marked this as resolved, unless witch huts ARE NOT supposed to spawn anything on Bedrock Edition (which is my theory). I would like someone to show me a non-dormant witch hut on Bedrock Edition because all of mine are broken. If you want I can show you video and pictures.
Welcome to bedrock, the spawning algorithm is EXTREMELY slow. Even if you had a perfect perimeter in a void world, that hut will spawn like one a minute :/
I mean it spawns 0... that's more of a problem than 1/minute. I have never seen a witch hut that wasn't dormant. Across multiple worlds in multiple instances...
As a side note, I would like to say we've been trying to have a source of gunpowder for flying. But, no witch huts, and Creeper spawners don't work. There's basically no way to get gunpowder, so flying is out of the equation.
If you can make Witch Huts work? Or Creepers shorter (like 1.8 blocks), so that we can farm gunpowder for flying, that would be fantastic and make a lot of people happy!

We were unable to reproduce the problem you are describing in the latest version.
As mentioned, it's likely that there are other more general spawning issues at play here, such as those mentioned at MCPE-21856.

MCPE-21856 is relevant, and if that were fixed by, say, allowing cave spawns to despawn in any light level, then the Witch Huts might work as intended. However, Witch Huts have also have a unique mechanic that fails to accomplish its goal (and is also counterintuitive) which could be fixed similarly to the Pillager Outpost fix in 1.13. I have detailed this in MCPE-60552.
have you tried lighting up all caves and nearby territory so the witch hunt is the oly place mobs can spawn? you also need to be a certain distance away
