Salmons will disappear from view before their bodies leave the screen space
Steps to reproduce
Summon/find a salmon
Let it leave the screen space
What was expected
The salmon first leaves the screen space before disappearing
What happens
The salmon body will disappear once only its tail is still visible

Do you mean when the salmon leave the screen to the left or right? If so I think other mobs do this as well, depending on the shape of their hitbox (including cod and dolphins).
