Since the end of September I haven't been able to sign-in to my xbox live account on Apple TV Edition 1.1.5. On the main menu screen it says its loading, but nothing happens. If I let it try to load on its own and then try to play a normal seed it says there's an error. When I go to settings and to profile to log-in to my xbox live account the pop up log-in glitches. It quickly disappears. So there is no way of signing in, which means all the marketplace purchases I've made can't be used on Apple TV.
To play a seed I have to make sure it says "Sign-In" down in the corner, not loading. This is when I can load a seed and play it.
Not sure if this is helpful, but I'm guessing with Apple TV not having an update since August 7th, issues like this one will be addressed in the next update.

Effective Monday September 24th, the Apple TV version of Minecraft will no longer be updated or supported. We’re grateful to the Apple TV community for their support but we need to reallocate resources to the platforms that our players use the most. Don’t worry though, you can continue to play Minecraft on Apple TV, keep building in your world and your Marketplace purchases (including Minecoins) will continue to be available.
However, we know that this experience isn’t in-line with the experience on other platforms so we will be issuing full refunds on all purchases made within the last 90 days.
