Leashed mobs can now enter fenced areas and follow nearby players.

Steps to reproduce this issue:

  1. Grab fence, then build a vertical tower of 5 or more fences

  2. Then, spawn a mob you like, (all mobs will affect this issue)

  3. Then, move the player, near at the mob.

Expected result

When the mob is tie up in the tower of fences, the mob will cannot enter inside of solid blocks, and aswell lead.

Actual result:

When the mob is tie up in the tower of the fences, the mob will can enter inside of solid blocks, and same for lead.

Motivation: this report is different of this: https://report.bugs.mojang.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/6/MCPE-225523 because got a reply saying the minecraft qa did concluded was working as intended, but the qa team did not gave a response about the issue i was having, instead they gave to me a general answer nothing related to the issue what was reporting it.

This is because the bounding box of the sheep is only its main body and not the head and legs. If you were to try this on java and turn on hitboxes you would be able to see this better.

The explanation from QA on (MCPE-225523) addresses your issue directly. Let me rephrase it:

The collision box of a mob approximates its main body. The collision box may not include all visual parts of the mob, for example, head, arms, and legs. Therefore, some visual parts of mobs may overlap blocks.
