When I convert an old world from the Legacy console edition over to the newer version of minecraft, the /locate command just dosen't work in the old chunks. For example, I used the /locate buried treasure command in an old converted world. It said it was at coordinates in an old chunk. I went to those coords, dug all the way down to bedrock, and didn't find anything.

If you create a new world with the same seed does the locate command produce the same coordinates, and is there buried treasure there?
It is very likely that the locate command is based on the world seed and not on the actual contents of the world.
