The legs of baby donkeys and baby mules extend into the ground by one pixel, mapped to an irregular texture area

Steps to reproduce

  1. Summon a baby donkey or a baby mule. For instance, the following commands can be used:

    summon minecraft:donkey ~ ~ ~ {Age:-2147483648}
    summon minecraft:donkey ~ ~ ~ {Age:-2147483648}
    summon minecraft:mule ~ ~ ~ {Age:-2147483648}
    summon minecraft:mule ~ ~ ~ {Age:-2147483648}
  2. Wait for the baby donkey or baby mule to walk, or clip into the ground in Spectator.

  3. Look at the bottom of the baby donkey’s or baby mule’s legs.

Observed behavior

Below the seven pixel rows visible above the surface, there is an eighth row underground. Two of its sides will be mapped to the texture area meant for the leg’s bottom side; the others will be mapped to an untextured area and, as a consequence, will be seen through.

Expected behavior

The legs of baby donkeys and baby mules would be only seven pixels in length, matching their respective textures.

Note: The layer this report is referring to is typically not visible due to it being underground:
