Realms signin issue on Nintendo Switch

Since the update the Nintendo Switch Minecraft has been struggling to sign in to play on Realms.  After waiting I keep getting the message :We could not connect to Realms right now.  We will try again soon.  This has been happening on and off for the last week.  I just paid for the Realms server on my kids account a week ago to fix performance issues when playing minecraft, but this instability is hard.  Can you look into stabilizing this please?

Troubleshooting I have tried:

Everything listed on this article I could including restarting router, restart minecraft, restart Nintendo Switch, redownload Minecraft, Ethernet, ensure DNS is automatic - https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4410376128013-Minecraft-Realms-Plus-Troubleshooting
