Cant Dig Items In Survival Mode

I have the same issue on an LG G3 Vigor with touch controls. Some additional information I've observed:

1. I can't dig any blocks of any kind with any tools or objects in hand.
2. Plants (mushrooms, grass) can still be broken.
3. Digging can still be done with nothing in hand.
4. In creative mode, blocks can be broken, but only one at a time. Holding for continuous breaking doesn't work.

True. All that Travis Garrett said happens to me too.
