i made a microsoft account just to play cross platform minecraft with my friends and now everytime i click "sign in with a microsoft account" on the main menu, i get a box that says "failed to login. we tried to sign you in to your microsoft account, but something went wrong." ive reset my microsoft password a few times, restarted the game and my ps4, reinstalled the game and nothing has worked, i just wanna play with my friends!

The same thing is happening to me except on PC! I try to sign in but it keeps saying "login failed." I have tried following the directions for how to fix this issue on youtube and the internet by downloading the xbox app (and identity app for PC) but it still will sign into my Microsoft account. Even on the xbox app it will not sign in. I'm beginning to think it could be because I changed the name/tag of my email but not the address/email itself. Minecraft may not recognize my account or something because of the changed name. This is very unfortunate because I cannot play on realms at all, and cannot customize my account. Maybe there was an issue when transferring accounts from Java to Bedrock edition?? I do not know, these are just speculations. but PLEASE HELP because I cannot play with others at all! I have been trying to resolve this issue since I downloaded the bedrock edition in September of 2019.
