/give and /setblock errors

I am trying to use the /setblock command, so I type "/give @p" to search for the name of the desired block to set. I was looking for Spruce Wood Planks, but when I tried finding it with the /give command, there were no Spruce Wood planks to be found. All that came up was literally everything but the planks. Spruce stairs, spruce_door, spruce_trapdoor, spruce_button, spruce_pressureplate, but no planks. It's like this with every wood. except for plain Oak. Everything but the planks come up. I searched everything possible. I searched spruce_wood_planks, spruce, wood, spruce_wood, planks, sprucewood, woodspruce sprucewoodplanks, etc. Couldn't find it. So then I decided it must be a bug or maybe you guys forgot to add the wooden planks (aside from plain oak planks) into the /give and /setblock commands and any other command with which you can access blocks.
Please fix this. Thank you.

By the way, it's not only spruce wood that I need. Dark Oak too.

Use this command: /give @p wooden_planks 64 1 the "1" shown in the command is the data value (0 = oak, 1=spruce, 5=dark oak (i think), etc.)
For logs, you must use "log2" for acacia and dark oak logs...

Other hidden ones are {tipped arrows, certain enchantment books}

If you are unsure what the valid block id's are, then search all block id's for bedrock on the internet... I'm sure there's an official minecraft website that have those...

I don't know how to reply to comments since I'm new to this site, so I'll type my reply here.

Oh, thanks! It worked! The instructions you gave were slightly off but I figured it out and it works now! Thank you!

@Mark: That is exactly how you reply. If you are replying to a different person, type "@" and their comment name, then type your comment...
