While I place a redstone repeater or a redstone comparator next to me, the redstone repeater appears, but it seems like it's basically an air block, however, I can walk on it but I able to place a block on the comparator / the repeater itself.
Also, I can remove the block under it without them.

I believe I have found a way to easily replicate the bug. I attached a video on how to do so. You'll need to be as close of the block you're gonna be placing the repeater in as possible. To do that, you can use a repeater on a block behind it. If you do that right, the repeater will be placed but will also fail to function

Educated guess: Pretty much you are placing the block where you are and the server denies placement (yet does not relay it back to the client that it was a failed placement).
PC_Screen - Right, that is the problem. And if you'll break the block under it, it won't break the repeater.
That also explains why I never noticed this bug until I actively started looked for it. Normally when I'm making something kind of contraption I'm generally flying, which makes it harder for me to place a repeater while I'm in the same block as it
