In pre 1.2.5 versions, the skins menu was just about bearable. After 1.2.5, it takes over 90 seconds to scroll to the bottom to use Christmas Skins.
My Suggestion
Make only skin pack that you own appear in the screen. Or, even better, do the same thing that was done with texture packs and world templates to the skins menu.
