The textures of minecraft:mud and minecraft:muddy_mangrove_roots are almost identical in color. This creates a gameplay barrier where the user cannot distinguish between them.
Steps to Reproduce (Without Resource Pack)
Environment: Create a world in the Mangrove Swamp biome with default lighting.
Placement: Place a Mud block (minecraft:mud) next to a Muddy Mangrove Root block (minecraft:muddy_mangrove_roots).
Observation: Try to distinguish between the two blocks from a distance of 5 meters.
Steps to Reproduce (With Diagnostic Resource Pack)
Application: Activate a resource pack that increases brightness.
Result: Navigation and block identification become instantaneous, demonstrating that the original texture is causing the accessibility barrier.
Note:
It's recommended to use an algorithm to simply increase the brightness to your liking or what you think is perfect for accessibility. I used 50% more brightness, but that's just my preference. However, if you think it should be higher or better, that's my recommendation.
I also sent them screenshots comparing a before and after changing the brightness.
