Summary. I downloaded the beta version of Minecraft (1.26.0.29), wanting to test the "deferred technical preview" graphics option. When I went to test it, I saw that my character had no shadow,The shadow cast by the sunlight only affected the blocks but not my character itself. The shadow from the point light works, but the shadow from the sunlight doesn't, at least not on mine The shadow from the point light is also very slow compared to my character's movement, even with the graphics settings at their maximum.

Please do not choose “Future Update” for the version - we need to know the actual version you are playing as shown on the first Minecraft screen.
