Point lights in Vibrant Visuals are rendered unpredictably and only when in close proximity to player

Point lights in Vibrant Visuals render inconsistently, and will appear lit only after the player has been in close proximity to them for a few seconds. When multiple point lights are present, only some of them will become lit. The behaviour is inconsistent and unpredictable.

Prior to a few previews ago, large numbers of point lights across a very wide radius would render consistently and nearly instantaneously.

Due to the large number of light sources and the dark environment, ancient cities are an ideal place to observe the issue, although the issue can manifest anywhere.

Please see example video provided.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  • In a world, enable the Render Dragon Features for Creators experimental toggle to allow point lighting. Ensure point lighting is enabled in video settings.

  • Apply the provided example resource pack, which applies point lighting to soul torches, soul lanterns and candles, and which applies custom fog to the Deep Dark biome to make point lighting more apparent.

  • Locate an ancient city (or any dark area with multiple soul torches or candles placed around). Move around, and observe how only a couple of the closest light sources will be lit with point lighting at any given time, and only after a few seconds delay of being near the player.

Expected result: All point lights within a certain (relatively large) radius around the player should be lit simultaneously and instantly upon entering that radius, as was the case prior to a few previews ago. In the example video, a few previews ago, all of the candles in the area would have been lit simultaneously.

Actual result: Only a couple of the closest point lights will be lit at any given time, and only after a few seconds delay of being in very close proximity to them.

Cannot see in caves even after placing light as they don't light up the area like normal.
