ISSUE:
Player 2 gets stuck indefinitely on "Building Terrain" when attempting to join a world via split screen (local multiplayer). Player 1 can play solo fine, but Player 2 cannot join.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Player 1 opens Minecraft and loads a world
2. Player 2 presses A to join (split screen prompt appears)
3. Player 2 attempts to join world
4. Player 2 gets stuck on "Building Terrain" indefinitely
5. Player 2 cannot proceed to gameplay
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
Player 2 should load into the world within 30-60 seconds and appear on screen with Player 1
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
Player 2 remains stuck on "Building Terrain" loading screen indefinitely
DEVICE INFORMATION:
- Console: Xbox Series S
- Network: Xbox Live active
- Multiplayer Type: Local Multiplayer / Split Screen
- Player 1 Status: Can play world solo (works fine)
- Player 2 Status: Cannot join via split screen
WHAT HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED:
✓ Full Xbox Series S hard reset
✓ Deleted all world saves (cloud and local)
✓ Completely reinstalled Minecraft
✓ Tested on Minecraft Preview Edition (identical bug occurs)
✓ Tested different worlds (some work, some don't - inconsistent)
✓ Tested offline mode (bug persists)
AFFECTED FEATURES:
- Local multiplayer split screen broken
- Player 2 cannot join worlds
- Game works fine for Player 1 solo
- New worlds sometimes work in split screen (inconsistent)
RELATED ISSUES:
- MCPE-134288 (split screen variant)
- MCPE-161682 (building terrain freeze)
- REALMS-5465 (multiplayer loading)
IMPACT:
Local multiplayer / split screen functionality is completely broken. This is a critical feature for local co-op play on Xbox Series S.
Please prioritize fixing split screen Player 2 loading issue.

Could you please provide more details. As we have no repro of this issue.
Are you using any add-ons or resource packs? If so, could you provide a complete list of them?
Could you clarify on which specific worlds the issue arises? For example, does it occur on older worlds created before the update or on worlds with experimental settings enabled etc?
Is the second Player joining as a Guest?
