When attaching a copper bulb or redstone lamp to a clock, such as the standard redstone and repeater setup or a loop of observers, occasionally, attempting to place an item frame on a face will fail, or alternatively, succeed for a moment before the item frame is removed, rather than being placed as with any other surface. This event seems to line up with the moment that the respective light block changes from the unlit to the lit state or vice versa. I havenβt found the oxidisation or waxed states to effect this phenomenon. I have been unable to test this effect with other activation methods due to the timing necessary to place an item frame the moment block changes state with other methods. While the video provided only shows the copper bulb, the effect is the same for redstone lamps.

I just realised the video was unable to send. Luckily, the effect was fairly easy to reproduce, assuming it wasnβt caused by something specific to my device. Maybe Iβll upload the clip to a video sharing site and comment the link.
