Any placeable add-on material becomes invisible on local co-op

I play Minecraft on my Xbox and playing solo I have no issues. However, since the update, whenever I play with my wife on local co-op on split screen anything related to an add-on is completely invisible. I can still interact with the add-on things, but cannot see them at all. I have tried hard restarting the console and no different.
