Summary:
In the Ore UI Video Settings menu, the recommended render distance for Vibrant Visuals is always set to the lowest value (8 chunks), regardless of the device’s hardware capabilities. Even on high-end systems that can run Vibrant Visuals at the maximum render distance (28 chunks) with stable performance, the recommended value remains at 8.
This behavior is inconsistent with the Simple and Fancy graphics modes, where the recommended render distance correctly scales based on the player’s hardware.
Steps to Reproduce:
Use two devices—one with high-end hardware and one with low-end hardware.
Launch Minecraft Preview on both devices.
Go to Settings > Video and enable Vibrant Visuals.
Set the Render Distance slider to 8 chunks.
Note the (recommended) text next to the value.
Increase the Render Distance slider.
Observed Results:
On both the high-end and low-end devices, the game recommends the lowest render distance (8 chunks). Raising the render distance triggers a warning about possible crashes or performance issues—even on the high-end device, where this warning does not reflect actual performance.
Expected Results:
The recommended render distance for Vibrant Visuals should scale according to the device’s hardware capabilities, just as it does in Simple and Fancy graphics modes.
