Steps to reproduce this issue:
Create a superflat world with these world setting:
in creative mode
choose classic flat, desert or snowy kingdom for differant biome color
set simulate distance to the max to run the command below
enable cheat
choose always day
disable mob spawning
Run this command:
/fill ~ ~ ~ ~99 ~ ~99 smooth_quartz/fill ~ ~ ~ ~99 ~ ~99 smooth_quartzFly upward 6 blocks hight, then run this command again, to creat a big zone that doesn’t have sky light.
Fly to the middle of this zone, and break one block on the roof, to let some sky light come down.
Fly to a slightly further place, then place a light block such as glowstone.
Observe the color these lights.
Expected result:
The color of these lights would be the same.
Actualt result:
They are not the same, you can see the block light is more yellow which is more obvious in desert biomes, and the sky light is more bule which is more obvious in cold biomes.
Note:
I didn‘t enable point light in these pictures.
The inconsistency between Vanilla flood fill vs the New lighting mechanic is WAY too obvious. And it makes things look extremely off.
We need Coloured flood-Fill for Vibrant visuals to make Light more accurately represent its sources. This way we also do not get this weird inconsistency of Lighting.
