No item pickup animation (again)

Upon picking up any dropped items, shot arrows, or XP orbs, there is no pull in animation.

To recreate this, drop some items, shoot an arrow nearby, or splash some XP orbs nearby, walk toward them, see if there is an animation. This issue appeared in 0.16.0.
